Jacob,

Good solid advice to get better rankings on YouTube. I still have to get past the whole “production” thing and being on camera and making sense. Do you know anyone who has a cheap tele-prompter? ;-)

Thanks,

RICK

Hi Jacob,
Sharing videos on YouTube and other video sharing sites is one of the best ways to promote your business or even blog and get really targeted traffic that converts much easier than search engines traffic. Additionally videos on youtube rank much easier than web pages and it’s possible to even get multiple places on the first page of google if you upload a lot relevant to your keywords videos.

You shared some very effective tips but one of the best way to get more views and rank better on search engines and youtube search is to make video responses to popular videos relevant to your own. This is a sure way to get a lot of views and as a result traffic to your website…

Good tips – also interesting to note your advice re length. Like with most online business advice there’s a whole range of ‘expert’ advice on this topic. I’ve noticed a number of people advising max length at 2 min, but I really think it depends on the topic. For example a tutorial covering a single topic can be pretty easily covered in 2 min, however personal growth topics are far more subjective so I tend to agree with your advice on the length in that regard. Thanks!

Great post… I’ve seen some amazing results from video rankings on google. An d the process you describe is the way to go. Fiverr is a great place to go for additional promotion and even a blast of links.

Another cool trick is to find a video with tons of views in your niche and put your video as a video comment.

Cheers

Hi Jacob! Awesome advice you have given here on Youtube. It reminds me of an article I recently read that more and more people are using Youtube as a search engine to find things out.
I like your advice on fiverr. But one thing I do want to say about videos. WATERMARK THEM!!! I recently seen myself on micro-niche sites that I am not part of. People have taken my videos that I did not label or linked and have used them to sell their products. I think I’m the “poster gal” on 5 or 6 sites. Urggg!!! Now I’m watermarking everything.
Thanks for the Post,
Donna

Great post Jacob, Youtube is going to get even more powerful as time goes on. I haven’t used it as much as I need to but I plan on using it more to optimize my articles.

I think we can only concentrate on 2 marketing methods to be effective but I plan on moving to other forms of marketing like youtube just to get them seen and get targeted traffic for sure. I hear article marketing robot is very effective and plan on using that too. Right now I’m getting some good backlinks from private networks.

They’re pretty powerful and can get you hundreds of backlinks with page rank and different ip addresses with a single post. You know what, I think Google is going to eventually slap people with tons of backlinks from the same ip addresses.

But yes, I will do more videos and plan on using article marketing Robot and Fiverr soon. But you know how it is. You have the choice on spending money or time. Takes time to set the foundation though. Glad to see you’re effective on Youtube. You seem to really know what you’re doing.

I love YouTube! I have a few “how to” videos on my channel. Another great way to increase the amount of keywords associated with each video is to insert the closed captioning. Works like a charm!

Good tips to get video views, Jacob.

I especially like your suggestion to give viewers a call to action in your description box.

I think we tend to assume that if you have a link back to a squeeze page or blog, that people will check it out. But, as you point out, don’t assume. Tell people what to do.

After all, performing an action should be the reason we want viewers to begin with.

Thanks for the insight into increasing presence on YouTube Jacob. You grasp the concept that it’s never one thing that makes the difference, its all the “things” that make all the difference, :) Cheers!

What do you mean is this about the keywords we use on the title an din the video?
Also fiverr offers som ecool designs for the intro and closing of the video are you referring to this?
Thanks for your advise! warm wishes;)

No I was referring to putting keywords in the title, description and tags. And save the video as your keyword.

This are all great tips. I am still newer to making and publishing videos on Youtube. It is more of a newer project I have been doing and something that my clients keep asking me to do. I definitely have to optimize my videos more. I am more apt to optimize my blog posts that include the videos, but definitely, optimizing on the Youtube side is extremely important. I have homework to do now. :)

Thanks for the great tips on getting your YouTube videos more exposure. I don’t think I’ve ever really thought ablut your channel being treated as a web site. Calling to action is very important and it’s time for me to look at video marketing as an excellent marketing strategy!

Very interesting idea you’ve got there! YouTube is very popular and it is absolutely a great exposure if we can have many viewers. But of course, you should come up with interesting topic also to have more and more people viewing the video..
